If you specify a decimal value for the number parameter, the DATEADD function will only use the integer. If you specify a negative value for the number parameter, the DATEADD function will subtract the interval from the date. Live connections to Redshift and PostgreSQL are designed to return UTC time due to inconsistencies in how these datasources handle datetime and time zone offsets. If you specify a positive value for the number parameter, the DATEADD function will add the interval to the date. If the data source is hosted on a machine in a different time zone, then the data source may return the time in that time zone. In the Filter dialog, check True and click OK.ĬauseWhen connecting live, Tableau Desktop queries the datasource for NOW() or TODAY().However, to get the date part only (without the time part), you use the double colons (::) to cast a DATETIME value to a DATE value. ![]()
